My name is Krystal Anderson and i'd like to welcome you to Homemade Hope!

A place for regular parents of remarkable children.

I am the mother to a very special girl and soon to be wife to a loving a supportive man named Luis. We are expecting a healthy baby girl in august of 2016. When im not writing or advocating I can be usually be found singing off key while cooking, with a large cup of coffee or enjoying the simple things in life. We have also recenty begun our journey into special needs homeschooling!

Follow along with me as I brave Motherhood, Advocacy, & Adulting with little more then willpower and love.  

Our five year old daughter Sophia is the 54th girl in the world to be diagnosed with the extremely rare condition Pontocerrebellar Hypoplasia due to a spontaneous CASK gene mutation.

With the love and support of her amazing father, our family and our friends we are going further then anyone ever expected. My hope for this site is to help other people understand the special needs lifestyle. As well as to help other special needs parents connect to eachother, valubale ideas and resources.

Together we can spread awareness, hope and understanding of the special needs and rare disease lifestyle for the kids who have them and the families impacted by them.
